Traffic Engineering & Control

Since vehicles are normally not driving alone on roads but are part of traffic streams, it is useful to have a basic understanding of the inherent dynamics of traffic flow and of the most typical traffic control mechanisms. The course will provide this understanding by giving the theoretical background and by using a state-of-the-art tool for traffic flow simulation.
